Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy
LocksmithLocal Ltd is committed to acting ethically and with integrity, and to doing all we reasonably can to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and our supply chains.
Last updated: 10 June 2026
Our commitment
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes many forms, including slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. This statement reflects the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015; we uphold these standards voluntarily, regardless of whether our turnover requires us to publish a formal statement under that Act.
Our business
LocksmithLocal is a nationwide network of vetted, locally based locksmiths providing emergency and scheduled locksmith services to homes and businesses across the United Kingdom.
Our supply chains
Our supply chains include the manufacturers and suppliers of locks, security hardware, tools, vehicles and IT services that support our work. We expect everyone we work with to uphold the same standards we set for ourselves and to comply with all applicable laws on employment, pay and human rights.
Our policies and practices
- We check that everyone working with us has the right to work in the UK and is treated fairly and paid lawfully.
- Our locksmiths are vetted and DBS checked as part of our commitment to safe, accountable working.
- We seek to build long-standing relationships with reputable suppliers and make our expectations on ethical conduct clear.
Due diligence and risk
We assess the risk of modern slavery within our operations and supply chains and take proportionate steps to address it. Where we identify a concern, we investigate it and take appropriate action, which may include ending a supplier relationship.
Training and awareness
We make sure the people who work with us understand the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking, how to spot the warning signs, and how to raise a concern.
Raising a concern
Anyone who suspects that modern slavery is taking place in any part of our business or supply chains should report it to us in confidence at info@locksmithlocal.co.uk. All reports are taken seriously and investigated.
Responsibility and review
Responsibility for this policy sits with the directors of LocksmithLocal Ltd. We review it regularly and update it as our business develops.
